Thoth was known as a scribe, and was regarded as the author of the 'Book of the dead. He was sometimes portrayed as a baboon, and sometimes as an Ibis headed god. Both the baboon and the Ibis, are animals sacred to Thoth.
Thoth was known as 'god one' the self created one. He was the judge of right and wrong, and the lord of truth. Amulets of Thoth are thought to enhance knowledge, and represent truth and eternal life.
